A great light-weight machine and easy to set up. All the tools you will need are there but I did purchase a starting clamp separately and find this an invaluable addition. The machine does come with four sets of strings (at least with my machine) to get you going which is a bonus. Overall, a recommended machine for anyone starting out stringing.
Very happy. Easy to assemble, plenty of help available online for those "not sure" moments, should you get stuck. I had never strung before, watched a YouTube video of a chap stringing with this machine and I thought it would be easier to follow, if I had the same machine. First racquet takes a while - just like learning any new skill - but take your time and realise what you have done wrong, then correct it next time. I practised on older racquets for my first three times. By the fourth racquet, I was confident to have a go on my own racquets that I have been using for matches, with no noticeable difference, ever since. Ideal machine.
I finally accepted the inevitable and bought one of these in September 2014 when it just got too difficult getting my kids' racquets to and from the stringer. I bought this machine because it is much lighter than some of the other machines, and doesn't need electricity, so I can use the stringing machine anywhere. This Gamma stringing machine also packs down into a crate for easy transport. I take it to tournaments for running repairs. I was a complete novice, but with this, a reel of cheap string and some YouTube videos, I learned over a weekend. My 13 year old son, who is a regional level junior, has also learned and can do his own racquets when he has time. It is already January 2015 and the machine has paid for itself.
I find this machine great value - all the tools you need for the stringing job (except perhaps a starting clamp) are included, plus four sets of strings. Very simple to use, and the racquets seem to be safely mounted on the machine. I was up and running in no time, and have strung both tennis and badminton (clamps suited for badminton needed) racquets with great success. My only regret is that I waited this long to get my own machine. :)
